Grant and Olivia both wrapped up their school years on June 5 and I wrapped up my current position at the museum. I will be back full time on July 14 as a curriculum specialist managing the partnership between FLMNH and the Alachua County school board. I've gotten used to part time so I'm not sure how this will go but they didn't really give me a choice - my current position was cut due to massive state budget cuts that hit UF pretty hard so I'm glad they found a place for me. In the meantime, we are going to enjoy our summer!Photo above was taken at Hawaiian Luau birthday party for Olivia's friend, Grace.
To celebrate our summer freedom, I bought the kids new beach towels and shovels. They were so excited that they immediately laid them out with their chairs and started playing "beach."
